our story

We believe in stories. There are stories out there that are important and need to be told. Sometimes all these stories need is a little help to make them grow and reach a broad and diverse audience.

That is why each month we invite one visual storyteller to dock at our bay and connect with our creative network.

Get inspired, inspire others and leave fully charged.

the docking hub

With 9m, it’s the smallest working space in Amsterdam North. But don’t let its size fool you. This tiny hub, which stands on the IJ waterfront opposite the Tolhuistuin (IJpromenade 2), might just contain the greatest ideas . This hub is a work and living space but also and pop-up exhibition in one: during the stay of each Docker the Hub is covered with large canvases that are printed with the photographer's work. It is a striking appearance in the city that makes people curious about the work and the resident. What story is there behind those huge canvases? And how would it be to live and work in a 3x3 meter house in the middle of the Vondelpark? The Docking Hub/ Hubbel is made by two fantastic Dutch designers Floris van der Kleij and Piet van der Werf. www.hubbels.eu
