About Docking Station
We believe in stories. There are stories out there that are important and need to be told. Sometimes all these stories need is a little help to make them grow and reach a broad and diverse audience. That is why each month we invite one visual storyteller to dock at our bay and connect with our creative network.
About the costs
If you are selected as a Docker, we won’t ask you for any money. However, we expect you to be willing to share your story. A lot. We will arrange a few events that will connect you to a new audience. Halfway and at the end of your stay, we’ll ask to you to give a presentation.
You’ll have to pay for your own travel expenses and food etc while you’re here. Of course we are willing to help to ask for funds.

About docking in Amsterdam
We are going to build a fantastic Dock Station behind creative Volkshotel. You will stay in this house of glass, but will be able to use the facilities of the hotel. The duration of the stay is one month.
Every visual story is different so the program for each Docker will be different. One thing is for sure though: you'll get four one-on-one sessions. Some of the sessions will be with the directors of Docking Station, but you will also dock onto our extensive interdisciplinary network and have a meeting with an expert in the field where you need help. Furthermore, we're aiming for you to have a lot of encounters with our community.
